Walt and Karla Powell have been married 37 years and been blessed with 3 amazing children, a son-in-law, daughter-in-law and a bonus daughter. The most recent addition is a little grandson that has stolen our hearts!

God brought us from the Texas Panhandle in 1995, to a small town in rural Northeast Colorado, where agriculture is the way of life. The mountains have captured our hearts and are but a short drive away.

Favorite date is outdoors with a camera in hand capturing memories for our hearts and walls, always with a good cup of coffee in hand....

Rock Power Ministries was born in our hearts as we navigated the pain of a failing marriage. We thought we had tried everything; however true healing only began when we experienced transformation through mediation/coaching from XO Marriage. The process of learning new tools and practically applying them is now a lifestyle and has changed our lives forever! It was during the actual mediation experience that a passion to help marriages began to burn in our hearts. We learned that marriages could not only survive but thrive. God opened doors and with intensive studies at XO Mediation Institute, we joyously celebrate being Certified XO Marriage Mediators.

1. Marriage Mediation - Certified with XO Marriage Mediation Institute in 2023. Marriage Mediation is an intensive, in-person 2 day event to help couples walk through the process of conflict resolution by placing the tools they need in their hands and teaching them how to use the tools. These tools are based on Scripture that are life changing not only for the couples in need but for the generations that are to follow.

2. Marriage Coaching - 60-90 minute session with the purpose of working through a specific topic. If the session leads to discovery of a need for deeper understanding of root issue(s), mediation may be recommended.

3. Pre-Marriage Classes or Coaching - The purpose of the Pre-Marriage material is to develop the awareness and understanding of the need for God to be the center of the engaged couple's marriage. The tools that the couple receives are purposeful in a thorough preparation of showing value to one another, conflict resolution, and discovering any wounds that they might possibly need to process before entering into the covenant relationship with each other and much more. The journey is not only enlightening but fun as they get to know each other more through the course.

4. 4 Laws of Love Workshop - The 4 Laws of Love

that God defines in Genesis 2 are expanded upon

and is the foundation of doing marriage God's way.

The workshop is a full day workshop

for exploration of the tools God has given us

to have a successful and thriving marriage.

The workshop is available to take to churches

that would like to host an event or can be attended

in the Spring in Fort Morgan, Colorado

at The Sanctuary Church.

5. 21 Days to Inner Healing Journey - We all have experienced some form of pain in our life.

This is a personal journey that will help you unpack the wounds of the past that are affecting your everyday life as well as create a deeper connection with God. We will meet with you virtually and supply supporting material(s) that will help you connect with God as your healer. We have found this journey beneficial when done on an annual or semi-annual basis. Most people find that after the first journey, they are comfortable navigating the process without assistance, but if that is not the case we are available to walk with you when needed. (Registration & Book Required)

6. Retreats - We believe that behind every successful marriage, you will find a couple that invests regularly, not only financially but also in their time. Rock Power Ministries hosts a Marriage Retreat/Conference in Fort Morgan, Colorado every year in February. It is open to anyone who would like to attend. We also partner with churches to provide opportunities for them to bring the same opportunities to their local communities as well as possibly partnering with other churches to create an out-of-town retreat. These are not only invigorating to a marriage but are meant to bring an element of fun to the relationship.

7. Public Speaking - Walt and Karla are available to speak at churches to give a testimony of what God has done in our lives when He rescued our marriage from the ashes, or we can speak on a marriage topic. Additionally, Karla is also available to connect and speak into other women's lives!

WHAT IS MARRIAGE MEDIATION?

Marriage Mediation is an innovative marriage-transforming approach.

Marriage Mediation is a hands-on experience providing real-time breakthroughs

for couples who are willing to surrender to doing marriage God's way.

Marriage Mediation helps couples develop a strong foundation that provides security and sustainability for the future of their marriage.

Marriage Mediation provides the extended time needed to demonstrate how marriages get out of alignment. During the session(s) couples are educated on how to master their differences for ultimate reconciliation.
